SHADY OAK ACADEMY
Strenghts Based Education Preschool - 6th
Shady Oak Academy is transforming education, one child at a time. Our inclusive school serves children in grades preschool through 6th grade. We cultivate a learning community, giving hope to families while establishing a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Students have opportunities to develop their God-given strengths and interests while they are mastering academic content. Our staff loves to find out what kind of intelligence our students have and personalize their curriculum to help them succeed. We are the first school in the metroplex to use Kids Braintree which helps students to develop stronger attention, memory, processing and comprehension skills.
Students thrive in an atmosphere where learning is enjoyable and they feel calm, confident and successful. Small individualized groups, hands on projects, and a values-rich curriculum help our students engage actively and happily in the work of academics. In addition, community service, gardening, free play, learning social skills, and field trips widen their horizons and help them become well balanced persons
